A split share is, in this case, 10 oil companies and 6 banks and they split out the potential growth and dividend payments. With a two share structure. The preferred share is basically a deep in the money call. He would look at just the banks.

DON'T BUY

Big Bank / Big Oil. It is not an ETF but a novelty product (split product). He is leery about oil and although it is above $30 now, he does not think bank profits will be that great and neither will the price of oil. He thinks these are the two big things that are going to be hit the worst when the interest rates and price of oil both stay low for longer.
