John Stephenson Kinross Gold KGC-N TOP PICK Jun 13, 2016

If you are going to own gold, now is the time. This is a name that has had a lot of problems in the past, and still trades at a bit of a discount to its larger cap peers, but feels that a re-rating is due. It is going to produce about 2.7 million ounces a year, so it is a decent size producer. Costs seem to be under control.

PAST TOP PICK

(A Top Pick June 13/16. Down 16%.) At the time, this was a sort of a turnaround story. Still a decent gold company if you want to hold one.

BUY

He doesn't own it but there is nothing wrong with it. They have low cost of production, leverage to price, and reserves on the ground. They recently increased their dividends. A great company with management that executes well. (Analysts’ price target is $10.00)

DON'T BUY

A dividend-paying gold stock? Likes it, but he prefers Barrick Gold, Newmont or FNV (a gold conglomerate).
