Taxable in CDN registered acct? He recommends seeking tax advise, but high distribution bonds and international securities (US and other) in a registered fund. It gets complicated that some have US holding taxes, that may not be recoverable. IDHD can be purchased without withholding taxes. It is pretty favorable though. There may be some European withholding tax that is not recoverable. This ETF is slightly lower volatility than other international ETFs.
