Benj Gallander AMN Healthcare Services Inc. AMN-N HOLD Aug 05, 2016

Healthcare staffing. The company has doubled over the past year, and he is not too sure about the upside from here. If Trump gets in, that is going to hurt healthcare companies. He wouldn’t be looking to Buy, but if you own he would consider continuing to hold. Doesn’t know the financials well enough to see if it might be worthwhile Selling.

HOLD
There are interesting trends that are positive. People when things are tighter shift from full time to temporary. This company fills the holes. There can be a structural shift as things slow down and hospital administrations are looking for cost cuts. There can be a bit of a tailwind. This is not a bad time. It is isolated from the trade war which is a good thing. They don't have a dividend. Be careful because when it gives up on you, you have to step out. Have a trailing stop in place.
COMMENT
The stock exploded during the spring lockdown, because they supply medical staff to hospitals. However, parts of TMN are doing well (i.e. travelling nurses division), but other parts of suffering as non-urgent surgeries have been postponed. It's had a volatile year, but the last two quarters have beat and the stock has risen to $62. It was oversold. Trades cheaply at 19x 2021 earnings now.
BUY
Professional recruiting company that focuses on healthcare sector. Covid-19 has increased demand for nurses and healthcare professionals. Tight labor market has increased pricing for services of recruiting in healthcare. Trading at less than 10x earnings. Aging population will increase demand for healthcare.
PAST TOP PICK
(A Top Pick Sep 09/22, Down 22%)

Disappointing recommendation.
Healthcare staffing demand has fallen since Covid-19.
Should be trading at a higher multiple.
Healthcare is still growing.
1M nursing professionals expected to leave industry - good for business.
Good long term hold for investors.
