BUY

One of the biggest winners in Canadian history. He has known the management team for 15 years they are doing incredible acquisitions. People understand that they don’t play up for acquisitions and are good stewards of capital. It is a core holding for him. They deserve a larger multiple. He would be a buyer here.

BUY

The whole sector has been trounced. Now everyone hates all of them. Out of the management teams he thinks this is the best. The sector has been out of favour.

HOLD

He has had a long history. They cut their dividend late last year and got decimated so he bought it and did well. Now it is at a regular valuation. They can acquire other patents on the cheap, but it is harder to enforce them. This is a large holding of his. He likes the fundamentals.

DON'T BUY

Fixed price energy contracts door to door. It has done fairly well. The turn in terms of their clients is so high, though. He does not feel that comfortable with them. 8% yield and do people really believe it?

HOLD

They are all trading at very low multiples. LNR-T came out with a great quarter and is continuing to sell off. They all trade at great multiples. We are possibly in the 7th or 8th inning of the game here. He has taken down his positions, but continues to hold them here.

SELL

High risk lender and a high risk stock. He owned it just after it came out. The management are not friendly to shareholders. They lend to high risk clients. They looked recently into buying back stock or taking the company private. He sold and is not looking to get back in.

BUY

Was a Top Pick in the past. The recent quarter was not as strong as he would have expected and there was a sell off. He thinks eventually these guys will get taken out. It is underfollowed and is held rather tightly.

DON'T BUY

A roller coaster. He use to own it and sold on short reports. The quarter looked pretty strong, but the receivables went from 75 days to 120 which is a red flag. He decided to stay away from this name. He thinks the CEO has stepped down.

HOLD

(Market Call Minute) He likes it. They are moving into virtual reality. There is an opportunity, but it is probably a hold.

BUY

(Market Call Minute) We will see some good numbers come out of it in the next few weeks. Mr. lube should come out with a record quarter.

SELL

(Market Call Minute) They continue to disappoint and just missed their quarter. No consistency in earnings.

HOLD

(Market Call Minute) He sold a lot at the end of the year. Their earnings look pretty good. They are splitting the company in two.

TOP PICK

Management did a great job. They have low cash costs and have a lot of exploration opportunities. It is one of his largest holdings in the fund. All the metrics look outstanding. They continue to do well, underpromising and overdelivering.

TOP PICK

Airplane circuit boards. Extremely cheap company. Next year earnings move from $.20 to $.30 per share. Capacity utilization was not full, but with new contracts it will be. 6.5 times earnings next year. Not too many people know this story still. It is an early 2017 story still.

TOP PICK

Looking for people to cut the cord. They look like Apple TV. This quarter there will be revenue generation so this is the right time. He owns a big chunk. There is deep value here, but people got impatient.
