Mixed Tuesday
Wall Street reopened Tuesday to a mixed session. The S&P closed -0.2%, the Nasdaq 0.14%, and the Dow -1.14%.
Tech and banking names were both up and down: Tesla soaring 7.14% and Nvidia 4.36%, but Amazon closing -2.18%. Morgan Stanley rallied 5.88% but Goldman Sachs sank 6.84%. The U.S. 10-year yield held around 3.55% while Bitcoin rose 1% to $21,300, recovering from the FTX collapse.
It was a similar story on Bay Street as the TSX advanced 0.35%. TD shares changed the most hands by climbing nearly 1%. Bombardier rocketed 9.45%, Algonquin Power jumped 4.27%, Arc Resources climbed 3.9% and Tamarack Valley gained 4.27%. However, Barrick Gold slid 3.75%. Only materials and staples lost ground while utilities and energy led. WTI crude rose 1.5% to surpass $81.
