A high yield play. It has come back because the federal reserve has implied support for buying bond that were downgraded to junk status. In the next few quarters, default rates will be higher than the financial crisis or the dot com crash. He would not touch it.

The fund does use leverage (27% right now) and is sensitive to rates and the economy. But it has done resonably well (5 year annualized 9.33%) and offers a high current yield. We would be comfortable with it for an investor that understands higher-yield (higher risk) securities, within the context of an otherwise balanced portfolio.
