His key focus is macro. The Taiwan ETF is one of his holdings currently. He is a big fan of the semiconductor cycle. Both producers and equipment companies are beneficiaries of a stronger economy. The whole region is more attractive. When you break out of a range like that it is just the beginning. You could also own AIA or DXJ. EWY is a play on Samsung.

You can think of this as an indirect Apple play. They have a lot of technology component companies, that are basically supplying all of the major smart phones of the world. What you will notice about Taiwan is that when Apple has a good product launch, their market tends to do well.
