He's bullish on tech and the good thing here is that this ETF is diversified, not just FAANG, though it's all American. Nothing wrong with this. It's up 9% this year despite all the volatility.

It's the high-yielding American stock. It yields around 5%. It's a good way to get income out of the U.S. You have the opportunity for some growth.

Doesn't like these split-stocks. Why are these ETFs paying a higher yield than the stocks they hold? That's a red flag. One reason is leverage. Sure, you get a nice return, but no price movement. These are very complicated. Doesn't like them.

Though he doesn't like oil, this is worth looking at, because it holds oil services and transportation stocks and not just producers. If he was speculating in oil, he'd buy this.

EFA vs. VEA? Very similar; they cover Europe, Australia and the Far East. But EFA excludes Canada and South Korea. VEA charges only 7 basis points, and EFA around 30. Both are good ETFs. He's focusing on America and not thrilled about Europe.

Not for everyone, because it covers the tech sector which has been beaten until valuations are now reasonable. It holds 10% Apple, 10% Amazon and some Facebook. If you're aggressive and like tech, this is the place to go.
