Just bought recently. Typical of some of the smaller junior/intermediates were the seniors had run quite a bit at that point and this one had been unfairly penalized for some production behind pipe. Looks like the 3rd and 4th quarters are going to be quite good.

A small junior oil/gas which had some previous disappointments. Prefers others.

Not an industry he would be comfortable with. Hard to justify on fundamentals. Multiple is too high.

A growth story. Doing well at the front of the store and back. Growth in Quebec because that's where they have fewer stores. Earnings have been like $1.20, $1.60, $2 and now looking at $2.40, so a nice 20% growth. Stock has essentially been sideways for 9 months.

Cyclicals. Have their own cycles. Weather related. If China uses as much fertilizer as western countries, that's where you'll get big demand. A lot of news has been anticipated in the price.

A great way to "one stop shop" to have all the REITs instead of having to try to pick out the individual ones. 6.5% yield is a little lower than he would like. Prefers juniors Huntingdon (HNT.UN-X) and Lanesborough (LRT.UN-X) which pay a little bit more, like 9/10%, but you have to do your due diligence.

Not a gold bug. Doesn't see $500/600 gold. If you are a gold bug you have to be negative on the US$ and probably, on the short term, that the US deficit is going to cause problems. This company is having their own particular problems and because they're high cost, they're great leverage, so if you are a gold bug, it's cheap.
