TSX, tech climb
The TSX flirted with all-time highs Monday as it rose 0.27% and closed comfortably above 23,000. Enbridge was the most-active name, adding 0.7%, while Richelieu Hardware finished the session -2.35%, ARC Resources -2.21%, Silvercrest Metals 5.56% and Canada Goose 4.76%. Gold made historic highs at US$2,504, while WTI declined US$1 barrel to US$74.50.
Once more, semis led American stocks as Nvidia rallied 4.35% and Intel 3.1% as the two most-active names on Wall Street. Tesla added 3.05% while HP closed -3.65% and Starbucks -2.65%. The Nasdaq climbed 1.39%, the S&P 0.97% and the Dow 0.58%. The U.S. 10-year yield hovered around 3.875% while Bitcoin gave back 1% to US$59,200.
