China Green Star Agricultural (GRE.H.V)

Chinese plant. He has seen the plant and operations. He doesn’t like China plays. You get sideswiped every now and then.

The numbers have been fantastic and this is one of the cheapest stocks in Canada….but…. most of the China trades have been trashed. They suddenly ran out of gas for some reason. At the end of the day, with Chinese companies, you never truly know what you have there. If you are going to buy this, do it with mad money on the fringes. This should not be a core position in a portfolio.

Has a small position but has not added to it. Given all the sentiment towards Chinese stocks he decided he was not going to own them any further but the stock is unbelievably cheap. Trading at 2X earnings with about a 40% ROE. He wouldn’t have any problem owning this personally but wouldn’t put any more into his fund.
