3-D Systems (DDD-N) or Stratasys (SSYS-Q)? Valuations on these have just exploded. He would be compounding the problem by stepping in here. Trading at 50 or 60 times next year’s earnings. Revolutionary technology, but he doesn’t feel comfortable paying those multiples.

Used to own but sold his holdings when the stock moved up so much. Currently prefers 3D Systems (DDD-N). 3-D printing is quite fascinating with what is happening on it. There is new interest in this space.

Stratasys (SSYS-Q) or 3D Systems (DDD-N)? This is an area that he feels will have very strong growth over the foreseeable future and will become more and more mainstream. These are the 2 major companies in this area. 3D probably looks a little bit cheaper but both companies are trading at a little bit too high a multiple for his liking.

COMMENT

3D Printing (DDD-N) or Stratasys (SSYS-Q) or something else? Of the 2, 3D looks a little more interesting to him. It trades at about 25X earnings with more consistent growth while this one trades in the 30s and has had a few bad quarters along the way. There is a 3rd company Organova (Listed on the Pink Sheets) that actually manufactures human tissue but is still not profitable.
