Liquidated a lot of his portfolio 2 weeks ago. 4 junior exploration companies he did not sell because of superb management teams. Miranda (MAD-X), Rimfire Minerals (RFM-X),Alteus (ALS-T), Kaminak (KAM-X) and Mirasol Resources (MRZ-X). If they fall another 50% in price, he will add to his position.

Very focused on a particular business model. They have been invited to Nevada, and Australia, and are considered very highly. However there's been no news of late. He likes the management team, his strategy is to select a management team you like, buy it, and average down. (Buy on lows to reduce the average cost of your total investment). (Then $1.85)

They need to make a discovery to make the upside. They have a lot of loyal shareholders and when they do make a discovery it will be very good. He's "prepared to hold it forever." Sit patiently over the summer and buy it.

Invests in very small, grass roots, early stage exploration businesses with low probability of success. Doesn't buy because of a particular project, but because of management with technical competence and business acumen. His 3 top picks have the best management that he knows of.

One of his favourite exploration companies. Highly competent management.

Excellent geological team in creating new projects. Even though it is a speculative, risky exploration company, it is a core investment because of its people.

Very good projects in the Pogo district of Alaska. Have a very tight capital structure. When the market dropped, they did not drop as much as everybody else.

Superb geologists. In the business of generating good exploration concepts and ideas, acquiring the land and getting joint venture partners to put up money to test the idea. Been acquiring land in Alaska for many years. Teck Cominco (TEK.SV.B-T) just put the Pogo project into production. Feels the area will heat up.

This stock is up 30%. He is sticking with this stock. This company has superb management. He believes that you have to know your broker and trust them.

Rimfire Minerals Corp. has good exploration management. They were active in Alaska acquiring ground surrounding the Pogo deposit. Just a matter of time before they get a significant joint venture in on it and that is going to start attracting attention.

Absolutely superb management team. One of the best in the exploration industry. It's a company that focuses on the joint venture model. They are a very, very good at relationship building to the extent that Newmont invited them into Nevada to evaluate one of Newmont’s data bases in the Walker Lane. This is a strategic joint venture between Newmont and Rimfire and it's the first he has ever heard of a major mining company like Newmont inviting a junior into their ground. Pure grassroots exploration and very high risk. The other thing that is interesting about it is that they also have a substantial imposition (?) in Alaska that they acquired in the 90’s. This was when Teck Cominco discovered the Pogo deposits in the Good Pasture district of Alaska. That's a 4.5 million ounce deposit that Teck is going to bring into production this year. Believes that Rimfire has strategic ground there in Alaska, so as their exploration excitement builds in the Good Pasture district, this should be beneficial for Rimfire and that's why he brought it in as a Top Pick as we are in the right time for things to start heating up in the general area again.

One of the most competent management teams I've ever come across. If I didn't own it I'd buy it.
