Oil tops $100
As the U.S.-Iran war rages without end, WTI topped US$100 to $102.50 after jumping 6.7%. Stocks continued to sink: S&P -0.58%, Nasdaq -0.65%, Dow -0.6% and the TSX -1.11%. While gold held around US$4,320, silver declined modestly to US$63.30. The U.S. 10-year yield.made another 52-week high of 4.961%.
Major movers in Toronto: Enbridge -3.67%, Telus -3.9%, Capstone Copper -9.3%, ERO Copper -8.49% and Hudbay Minerals -7.43%. Financials were the only positive sector. In New York: Apple 3.56%, Nvidia -2.37%, Intel -5.57% and HP -6.25%.
