Tuesday saw little direction in markets as the S&P was flat for the day, the Dow gained 0.28% and the Nasdaq sank 0.36%.
Among the major movers was Tesla, sliding 6.34% after shrinking sales numbers overseas and a growing backlash surrounding Elon Musk’s partnership with Trump. Super Micro Computer reported and shares slid 9.47%. Meanwhile, DuPont rallied 6.85%, Intel popped 6.07%, but Palantir slid 3.45%. The U.S. 10-year yield edged up to 4.537% while Bitcoin retreated 1.75% to US$95,680.
Likewise, the TSX had a quiet session, declining 0.11% as only three sectors, led by energy, enjoyed gains. Leading the laggards were materials and healthcare.
