Mixed Friday, up week
After hittinh new highs this week, markets settled into a mixed session on Friday. The S&P closed -0.11%, the Nasdaw -0.39% and the Dow 0.6%. For the week, the indices rose 1% except the Dow which added 0.6%.
Keys movere were Intel at -12.03%, AMD -1.14%, Capital One 4.65%, Airbnb 5.35% and Meta which made a new high during the day up 0.24%. The 10-year yield was 4.16% as Bitcoin jumped 5% to $42,000.
The TSX advanced 0.15% Friday and 1.1% for the week. Most sectors were positive led by tech and real estate while staples heavily lagged. Lightspeed rallied 3.32%, Cenovus 1.78%, Athabasca Oil -1.78%, Lundin Mining 3.89% and Ivanhoe Mines -3.62%. WTI rose 1% to $78.
