TSX snaps back, Wall Street mixed

The TSX rebounded 0.71% or 228 points to nearly match the record close it made mere days ago. While utilities were flat, all other sectors gained, led by energy, industrials and staples. Main movers were Cargojet up 7.49%, CNQ 3.14%, Baytex 6.98%, Cenovus 3.42% and Celestica down 5.62%. Silver barely moved from US$76.60, gold added US$19 to US$4,475 while WTI jumped 4.55% to US$58.55

It was a mixed story in New York as the S&P was flat, the Nasdaq sank over 100 points while the Dow gained 0.55%. Most active were Nvidia at -2.15%, Ford 4.8%, Intel -3.57% while Seagate gave back 7.72% after soaring lately, while Lockheed Martin rallied 4.34% after Trump announced more defence spending. The U.S. 10-year yield held around 4.183% as Bitcoin hovered around US$90,985.
