TD weighs on TSX

TD reported an earnings beat on Thursday but missed expectations. The stock tumbled 2.39% and helped drag the TSX down 0.4%. Financials, discretionary and staples lahhed though industrials and real estate rose.

Arc Resources jumped 4.84% and Tourmaline surged nearly 4% thpugh Lithium Americas slid 5.26%.

On wall street, all the major indices gave back 0.5% after hitting recent highs. The same sectors lagged and rallied as in Toronto though some tech names excelled. Etsy jumped 5.1% and Salesforce 2.66% while Dollar Tree plunged 12% and Western Digital slid 4.47%.
