Stocks extend rebound

Markets in Canada and the U.S. continued to rally, following Monday’s performance. Almost all sectors rose on the TSX as energy, materials and utilities leading the Canadian index 1.33% higher.
Even though the price of WTI crude declined 0.64% to fall below $86 a barrel, energy names dominated the gainers on Bay Street: CNQ up 5.45%, Suncor 4.61% and Vermilion Energy 7.11%. Also, Bombardier jumped 6.16% though Lithium Americas tumbled 7.28%.
Similarly, there was green across the screen in New York as the the S&P closed 0.52% higher, the Nasdaq 0.58, and the Dow 0.4%. Major movers included Bank of America up 2.66%, First Solar 5.4%, Enphase 5.01% and Netflix -3.27%. The U.S. 10-year yield edged down to 4.649% while Bitcoin slipped 0.85 to $27,300.
