Markets in New York and Toronto slid Tuesday led by weakness in tech and materials. The S&P closed -0.69%, the Nasdaq -1.33%, the Dow -0.22% and the TSX -0.84%. Major movers in New York: Nvidia -2.34%, Intel -6.58%, Apple 1.45%, Super Micro Computer -2.27% and Micron -7.02%. In Toronto: BRP 7.74%, Bausch Health 5.93%, B2Gold -3.74%, Celestica -8.38% and Aya Gold & Silver -6.06%.

Gold itself sank US $74 to US$4,341 silver fell 3.35% to US$63.30 and WTI rose another 0.57% to US$85.05. The U.S. 10-year yield declined to 4.706%.
