ProShares Ultra Short 20+ yr Treasury ETF. In 3 years interest rates will be dramatically higher in the US. Also, the US$ is dead. This is a good way of betting against that.

Made a dramatic discovery several months ago and the stock went from pennies up to $2. Put out some news that was misinterpreted but was actually extremely good news. Potentially one of the bigger deposits that has been discovered in North America in quite some time.

Have 2 very large copper/gold deposits in China. China is on an aggressive campaign to acquire base metal and precious metal companies and deposits globally. This company owns 14%. Thinks the company is under serious accumulation.

(A Top Pick Oct 24/08. Up 220.8%.) Largest Undeveloped copper/gold deposit globally.

(A Top Pick Oct 24/08. Up 11.3%.) Good way to have exposure to uranium. No longer a hot metal but will work its way higher over the years.

(A Top Pick Oct 24/08. Up 14.16%.) This is shorting the US$. There's only 4% Bulls on the US$, which makes it a screaming buy for contrarian investors for a short-term reversal but longer-term he is still quite bearish.

If you're going to have exposure to one of their uranium plays, this is a good one. Wouldn't chase it but on any pullback he would be a buyer.

Has not performed well. Started production and ran into mining problems and are currently trying to work them out. Will know in a few weeks.

Natural gas. Was a bear on natural gas until a month and a half ago. A lot of people have been playing a spread, Long oil and Short natural gas. Probably need 4 to 6 more weeks to get through the inventory stuff. If we don't see a big selloff, then we are home free.

A gold producer and this is one of the better growth stories. Good speculative play. Well managed.

In an area that is evolving into an area play. Evolving Gold (EVG-X) made a major discovery in Wyoming and they have land near this project, which he believes will be expanding. Highly speculative.

One of the best cobalt deposits which is finally going to go into production in North America. A good part of cobalt comes out of Africa where there is unrest with companies being shut down. Cobalt has now come back on radar screens. High-risk/potential high reward. Also has an interest in the uranium play.

Good management. In the last couple of years they had 2 major gold discoveries and have just announced a third. Prime takeover candidate.

Buying management for less than cash in the bank. One idea they are working on is Earth1, which is a partnership with the First Nations group in Saskatchewan. Will develop a huge agriculture business. Long-term bet but a smart one.

Have a joint silver venture in Santa Cruz Argentina with Coeur D’alene (CDE-N). Have put out some good holes. Doesn't think it's a major deposit but it's a nice one and Coeur is desperate for silver. Won't probably see drill results for 2 months so don't rush out and buy.
