This is in Ontario, but now has cash producing assets in a joint venture in Nevada. A bit of a different play than it was before, and he is more focused on exploration so this is not something he is looking at right now. It makes a lot of sense in terms of exposure to Canada and safety consideration. They have a good working capital position right now and won’t have to go to market anytime soon.

This is zinc. His issue would be around the actual mining of their deposit, because it is very close to the lake and there is an underground river that is going through there. Hydrology is a big part of how they mine this. This is not an easy one in terms of mining.

He likes management and the asset. They are looking to produce 120,000-150,000 ounces of gold per year. They are all-in sustaining costs of around $740-$790. Have $50 million in cash. They are paying down their debt, which is only about $54 million. A single asset company and in a jurisdiction not everybody wants to be in, Burkina Faso.

A few years ago, he was not keen on northern South America, because of infrastructure issues. Geologically it is very similar to West Africa. You’ve got West Africa geology in these greenstone belts, but you are in south America. Time zone wise it really is attractive to some North American companies. People are looking a little bit harder at northern South America. This company’s open pit grades are 1.5-2 grams, and it makes money. They’re are also looking at going underground. He is interested in this area from an exploration point of view.

Thinks they might have something here, so he is willing to Hold. It’s a big land package. The proof in the pudding is going to be an actual drilling program. They’ve taken a few samples from trenches that has given them some incredible grade, like 60 g. Have now permitted for a drill program to do some diamond drilling, because they are looking for the big conglomerate layer. Within the conglomerate, that is where the gold is. This will be followed by some reverse circulation to sample that, and that is where we will find if something is there.

Agnico-Eagle (AEM-T) came in a while ago and made a 9.9% stake in this company. The stock went up, but it really hasn’t done much since then. Then Barrick (ABX-T) came in and said they really liked the deposit and wanted to do a joint venture. This is a much better approach that is better for the stock going forward. It is going to be a refractory deposit which requires a lot of power if they are going to do a pressure oxidation.

A premier prospect generator. Relevant experience, not only in the deposit types they are looking for, but jurisdictionally. They’ve spent a lot of years in the down times basically putting their portfolio grassroot projects together. Right now, they are trying to harvest them, and the environment is great for harvesting them.
