(Market Call Minute.) A yield play only without much growth. He would prefer to go upstream to Bell Canada (BCEP-T) or Rogers (RCI.B-T).

(Market Call Minute.) Likes it at this price. Doesn’t think the Keystone is now the “be-all/end-all”. This makes it less risky at this price.

Infrastructure is a very good way to play the emerging markets growth. One thing that worries him about the whole group is that they made some really bad management decisions in the lead up to the global financial crisis. Cut their dividend as early as 2007, but it is now starting to grow. They have now paid down some debt. Good long-term recovery story. His favourite would be CRH out of Ireland. Group is really volatile and it is a cyclical.

This one has done very, very well. The challenge of the semiconductor market is whether or not the market is going to transition to a growth or going to go back to a defensive story. Semiconductors are coming towards the end of the cycle and 4% dividend is not really high growth. He expects there will be a rollover of technology stocks generally. Semiconductors lead the technology sector. Watch it up to the 4th quarter and see what happens.

Has a very big emerging markets portfolio. Dividend should be safe. The selloff largely has to do with the selloff of emerging markets and expectation that growth is going to slow. This is a longer-term Buy & Hold story, so if you buy it now, you are buying it cheaper than you would earlier in the year.

Biggest telephone company globally and has no debt. Good dividend. Price for this ranges anywhere between $47 and $56. With this you are taking a longer-term view because the average Chinese is going to get wealthier over time and telephone companies are going figure out how to take a portion of that income.
