Materials as well as healthcare, industrials and five other sectors raised the TSX by 0.91% or over 300 points Tuesday. Silver rallied 1.6% and gold advanced US$14 to US$,358 as ERO Copper<\/a> rose 7.76% and Eldorado Gold<\/a> jumped 6.26%. Elsewhere on Bay Street, Curaleaf<\/a> soared 11.29%, Rogers<\/a> sank 3.02% as telcos were the weakest sector and Hammond Power Solutions<\/a> advanced 7.87%. WTI extended losses from Monday, down 1.25% to US$94.60.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The picture was mixed in New York: The Nasdaq 0.47%, the Dow -0.36% and the S&P flat. Also flat was the U.S. 10-year yield, hovering right below 5%. Most active was Intel<\/a>, up 1.71%, GoDaddy<\/a> -6.23%, Royal Caribbean<\/a> -6.14%, and Monolithic Power<\/a> 8.06%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
