The new U.S. Fed Chief, Kevin Warsh, highlighted inflation worries on Friday which sent markets slightly down to end Friday. The\u00a0S&P closed -0.25%, the Nasdaq -0.52% and the Dow merely -0.02%. All gained over half a perfect for the weak, particularly the Nasdaq. Major movers on Friday: Workday<\/a> 5.76%, Nvidia<\/a> -4.57%, PG&E<\/a> -7.52%, Intel<\/a> -2.85% and PayPal<\/a> -12.71%. The U.S. 10-year yield climbed up to 4.724%. Bitcoin<\/a> sank 3.25% to US$77,485.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The TSX sank 0.75% Friday and almost broke even for the week. Discretionary was the strongest sector, but materials and tech led eight sectors lower. Silver fell 4.3% to US$66.15, gold slid 3% to US$4,460 and WTI slipped 0.12% to US$83.45. Major movers: GFL Environmental<\/a> rallied 4.64%, CNQ<\/a> -1.29%, Denison Mines<\/a> -7.1%, NexGen Energy<\/a> -6.96% and Secure Waste Infrastructure<\/a> 3.67%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
