WTI dove 5% to US $80.85, and energy and discretionary dragged on the Canadian index. Meanwhile, silver held around US$68.75 and gold added US$13 to US$4,666. Key names in Toronto: B2Gold<\/a> 2.4%, CNQ<\/a> -2.26%, Cenovus<\/a> -3.97%, and Bank of Nova Scotia<\/a> 7.62% after reporting a stellar quarter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In New York, the S&P rose 0.3%, the Dow 0.32% and the Nasdaq 0.66%. Caught in the trade war, Albemarle<\/a> sank 5.89% and Dow slid 4.07%. In contrast, Moderna<\/a> soared 14.36%, Super Micro Computer<\/a> 9.35% and Nvidia<\/a> 2.19% a day before earnings. The U.S. 10-year yield slipped to 4.621%. Bitcoin gave back US$2110 to US$78,720.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
