Toronto and New York markets were mixed on Friday, but gained during a turbulent week driven by the Mideast war. Finishing Friday: the S&P -0.11%, the Nasdaq 0.35%, the Dow -0.56% and the TSX 0.65%. All indices rose over the week: the S&P 3.56%, the Nasdaq 4.6%, the Dow over 3% and the TSX 1.77%, weighed down by a drop in oil prices. WTI declined 2% to US$95.85.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Major movers on Wall Street: Super Micro Computer<\/a> 8.79%, Fair Isaac<\/a> -13.99%, ServiceNow<\/a> -7.58%, Palo Alto<\/a> -6.74% and Nvidia<\/a> 2.57% as the most active name. In Toronto: Celestica<\/a> 7.33%, Parex Resources<\/a> 6.01%, Baytex<\/a> 2.51%, Cogeco<\/a> -7.95% and CNQ<\/a> 1.62% as the most active stock. Eight sectors rallied, led by materials and energy while telcos lagged the most.
