Fears of AI disrupting\u00a0several industries wiped about many sectors on Wednesday. The TSX closed -2.37% or nearly 790 points, the S&P -1.57%, the Nasdaq -2.03% and the Dow -1.34%. In Toronto, materials, industrials and tech sold off particularly hard while staples was among only three sectors in the green. Key names: SunLife Financial<\/a> up 6.32%, but competitor Manulife<\/a> was down 5.25%, Allied Properties REIT<\/a> -9.66%, Novagold Resources<\/a> -13.5% and WSP Global<\/a> -12.51% along with the infrastructure sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In New York, AppLovin<\/a> closed -19.68%, Cisco<\/a> -12.32%, Apple<\/a> -5%, Intel<\/a> -3.75% and Equinix<\/a> 10.41%. Bitcoin slid another US$2,100 to US$65,670 while silver tanked\u00a010.75% to US$75.10, gold slipped US$158 to US$4,926 and WTI fell 2.66% to US$62.90. The U.S. 10-year yield declined slightly to 4.1%<\/p>\n\n\n\n
