The week ended on a record note with the TSX gaining 0.42% or 138 points on Friday to 33,141\u00a0 and rose 0.32% for the week. Once again, precious minerals were the key driver as silver soared 6.55% to a record US$102 and gold jumped US$45 to US$4,981. Tech and energy also lifted the TSX while healthcare and three other sectors lagged. Major movers on Bay Street included Capstone Copper<\/a> up 8.78%, Aya Gold & Silver<\/a> 6.42%, Discovery Silver<\/a> 6.4% and Bausch Health<\/a> sinking 11.03%. Bizarrely, Lululemon<\/a> urged leggings buyers to\u00a0flesh-toned underwear; its shares sank 2.21%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Markets were mixed and fared worse on Wall Street: the S&P flat, the Nasdaq -0.28% and the Dow -0.58% on Friday. For the week, all indices lost ground, especially the Dow at -0.7%. Key names: Nvidia<\/a> 1.53%, Moderna<\/a> -6.09%, Capital One<\/a> -7.56%, Live Nation<\/a> 6.39% and Intel<\/a> tumbling 17.03% after issuing weak guidance. The U.S. 10-year-yield remained around 4.23%. WTI crude climbed 3.2% to US$61.25.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
