Thursday markets extended the previous day’s gains which had sunk on Trump’s threats to take Greenland by force. The major indices in Toronto and New York flirted with all-time highs, with the TSX making an intra-day all-time high. By the close, the TSX was up 0.48% or 165 points to settle above 33,000, the S&P added 0.51%, the Nasdaq 0.91% and the Dow 0.63%. The U.S. 10-year yield held at 4.249%. Also, silver resumed its loft climb, jumping more than US$3 to $96, while gold added US$90 to over $4,900.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
