In Toronto, materials propelled the Canadian index higher as silver shot up 2.8% to a record\u00a0US$63.45 while gold edged up $45 to US$4,274. Tech was the weakest among four losing sectors. Key movers: First Majestic Silver<\/a> 6.93%, New Gold<\/a> 9.09%, Energy Fuels<\/a> 6.24%, CNQ<\/a> -1.91% and Telus<\/a> -3.83%.\u00a0 On Wall Street, the cruise lines soared: Royal Caribbean<\/a> by 7.42%, and Norwegian<\/a> 6.81%. Elsewhere, Visa<\/a> rallied 6.11%, but Nvidia<\/a> slipped 1.55% and Intel<\/a> sank 3.11%. After reporting, Oracle<\/a> plunged 10.83%, dragging the Nasdaq down.
