Stocks gave back some of last week’s strong gains to begin the week. The S&P closed -0.53%, the Nasdaq -0.38%, the Dow -0.9% or 427 points, and the TSX -0.9% or 281 points. Sinking further was Bitcoin<\/a>, sliding 5.4% to US$86,230. However, silver continued to make new highs, touching US$58.57 an ounce while gold held around US$4,239. WTI advanced 1.55% to US$59.45.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The big movers on Wall Street included Synopsys<\/a> which jumped 4.85%, Deckers<\/a> 4.53%, Nvidia<\/a> 1.6%, Moderna<\/a> which sank 7.01% and Intel<\/a> which slid 1.36%. In Toronto, Bausch Health<\/a> soared 11.26%, Nutrien<\/a> added 3.63%, though Celestica<\/a> tumbled 7.27%, Shopify<\/a> fell 6.32% and Bombardier<\/a> faded 4.35%. The U.S. 10-year held around 4.09%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
