A fragile truce between Israel and Iran sparked a sharp rally on Tuesday. The TSX made new highs after climbing 0.51% to 26,744 while the three American indices approached their own highs. In Toronto, nine sectors rose, led by tech and staples while energy lagged the most. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gold gave back US$45 to US$3,323 while Bitcoin<\/a> advanced 1.7% to US$105,550. Naturally, the truce pressured oil, with WTI plunging 5.2% to below US$65. <\/p>\n\n\n\n In New York, the S&P advanced 1.15%, the Nasdaq 1.45% and the Dow 1.19%.
