The week ended with Trump threatening the E.U. with 50% tariffs and Apple with 25% for not building its iPhones in the U.S. Though closing higher than the weakest parts of the session, the S&P still ended Friday -0.67%, the Nasdaq -1% and the Dow -0.61%. Apple<\/a> sank 3.02% though the Wall Street consensus is that Apple cannot afford to shift production stateside. Elsewhere, Intel<\/a> closed -2.43%, Intuit<\/a> 8.12%, Deckers<\/a> -19.86% and Workday<\/a> -12.52%. Bitcoin<\/a> sank 2.3% to US$108,530 while the U.S. 10-year yield remained at 4.5%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The TSX added 25 points on Friday and shed a handful of points for the week. Only four sectors rose, led by materials, while tech led the laggards. Major movers: Whitecap Resources<\/a> 2.83%, Denison Mines<\/a> 11.59%, Cameco<\/a> 10.04% after Trump signed orders to boost U.S. nuclear energy, BlackBerry<\/a> -3.18% and Shopify<\/a> -2.57%.
