Lingering worries over America’s soaring debt kept the Dow and S&P flat on Thursday as the Nasdaq inched up 0.28%. The U.S. 10-year yield hovered around 4.539%. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Key stock names were Seagate<\/a>, popping 4.24%, Tesla<\/a> 1.92%, Enphase Energy<\/a> -19.63% and Humana<\/a> -7.58%. Coinbase<\/a> jumped 5% as Bitcoin<\/a> rallied another 2.6% to make a new high at almost $111,100.<\/p>\n\n\n\n It was a similar picture on Bay Street after the TSX gained only 14 points. Sectors were mixed with financials and technical balancing weakness in materials and utilities. Among the major movers were MDA Space<\/a>, soaring 7.6%, Aecon<\/a> up 3.82% and Celestica<\/a> 3.74%. Weak earnings slammed Lightspeed<\/a> for 7.97% lower while TD<\/a> beat estimates, but laid off 2% of its workforce. The bank’s shares rose 3.24%.
