The last trading day of the year was mixed with the Dow more or less flat, down a handful of points, while the S&P closed -0.43% and the Nasdaq -0.9%. However, that hardly made a dent on a strong 2024. The Dow rose nearly 13% over the year, the S&P leapt 23% while the tech-heavy Nasdaq soared 28%. Likewise, Bitcoin made fresh highs the past year and ended it at US$93,560. Meanwhile, the U.S. 10-year yield held around 4.573%.
