The TSC continued its hitting streak to start the week by rallying 0.62% or 145 points to 23,714. Most sectors gained, led by healthcare, tech and energy. WTI crude jumped 2.6% to return above US$70 a barrel as gold added US$5 to US$2,582. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Major movers: Bausch<\/a> 10.58%, B2Gold<\/a> 5.1%, Ballard Power<\/a> -7%, Kinross Gold<\/a> -3.74% and Air Canada<\/a> up 3.47% after averting a pilots’ strike.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The S&P flirted with a new high by advancing 0.13% and the Dow made a new high by adding 0.55%, but tech showed some weakness. Apple<\/a> closed -2.78% and Nvidia<\/a> -1.5%, though Intel<\/a> jumped 6.36% and Oracle<\/a> 5.12%. Elsewhere, Bath & Body Works<\/a> rallied 6.25%. The U.S. 10-yield remained around 3.62% while Bitcoin<\/a> gave back 1.75% to US$68,175.
