Green lit up trading boards on Thursday, especially in Canada as the TSX rose 1.12% or about 260 points to close at a new high of 23,470. Shining brightest were mining stocks: B2gold<\/a> 12.9%, First Majestic Silver<\/a> 11.97%, Calibre Mining<\/a> 4.87% and Equinox Gold<\/a> 9.9%. As interest rates continue to fall, dividend payers are thriving. Blue-chip Royal Bank<\/a> added 0.55% to close at an all-time high. Meanwhile, gold climbed 1.7% to US$2,585 while WTI crude recovered 2.8% to US$69.20<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On Wall Street, the S&P added 0.7%, the Nasdaq 0.92% and the Dow 0.57%. The latest producers’ inflation number came in as expected, but it failed to lift the U.S. 10-year yield above 3.7%. Major movers: Warner Bros. Discovery<\/a> 10.3%, Kroger<\/a> 6.98%, Broadcom<\/a> 4.15%, Micron<\/a> -3.98% and Moderna<\/a> -12.51%. Bitcoin<\/a> edged up by 1.25% to US$58,270.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
