The indices in New York and Toronto edged up on Friday to finish the week higher. The past week’s weaker-than-inflation numbers in the U.S drove the rally. The three New York indices gained over 0.2% on Friday. While the Nasdaq was flat for the week, the S&P jumped 4% and the Dow 3%, indicating a continuing rotation out of tech, or a broadening of the rally. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Key movers on Friday: Nvidia<\/a> up 1.4%, Dexcom<\/a> 3.16%, Ulta Beauty<\/a> 3.12%, Chipotle<\/a> -2.78% and Palo Alto Networks<\/a> -2.67%. The U.S. 10-year yield declined to 3.887% while Bitcoin<\/a> leapt about 5% to nearly US$59,500.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The TSX added 15 points on Friday, but rose 3.33% over the week.
