It was a quiet day on Bay and Wall streets with neither market making dramatic moves at the height of summer. The TSX shed 35 points as WTI sank 1.65% to US$75.85 a barrel, and gold slipped US$45 to US$2,382. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Major movers included goldminers Osisko<\/a> up 3.59% and Eldorado<\/a> 3.33% as well as Celestica<\/a> -4.99%, Kelt Exploration<\/a> -3.05% and Restaurant Brands<\/a> 2.3%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Similarly, gains and losses were muted in New York: the S&P was up four points, the Nasdaq 12 and the Dow closed-0.12%. Big movers: ON Semiconductor<\/a> soared 11.54%, ResMed<\/a> 5.84%, Tesla<\/a> 5.6%, Ford<\/a> -1.61% and Nvidia<\/a> -1.3% as the most active name again.
