Markets in New York and Toronto rallied Friday but finished the week in the red or barely positive. On Friday, the S&P rose 1.12%, the Nasdaq 0.99% and the Dow 1.65%. However for the week those numbers were -0.83%, -2% and 0.75% respectively to reflect a shift out of tech and into dividends. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Key U.S. movers: Bristol-Myers<\/a> 11.56%, 3M<\/a> 23.12%, Charter Communications<\/a> 15.51% and Biogen<\/a> -6.96%. The 10-year yield edged down to 4.193% while Bitcoin<\/a> jumped 3.15% to US $67,850.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The TSX gained 0.83% Friday and 0.55% for the week after the Bank of Canada cut interest rates again. Most active Friday were Baytex<\/a> at -6.13%, Royal Bank<\/a> 1.06% and TC Energy<\/a> 1.15%. Also, Winpak<\/a> surged 7.75%.
