After recent highs, markets in New York and Toronto edged down to begin the shortened trading week. The TSX shed 0.12% to close below 22,000. Most sectors were down, led by industrials, utilities and discretionary while energy was a rare gainer. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Notable names included Suncor<\/a> up 2.25% and CNQ<\/a> at 2.14%, but Tilray<\/a> finished -7.3%, Northland Power<\/a> -7.28% after announcing a change in leadership, and Cameco<\/a> -3.05%. Gold inched up to $2,170 an ounce while WTI regained 1.65% to $82.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The major indices gave back on Wall Street: the S&P -0.34%, the Nasdaq -0.28% and the Dow -0.44%. Some semi names regained ground, including Super Micro Computer<\/a> which jumped 7.2% and Micron<\/a> 6.28%. Elsewhere, Take-Two Interactive<\/a> closed -4.04% and Lululemon<\/a> -3.53%. Disney<\/a> was upgraded and rose another 3.01%. The U.S. 10-year yield hovered around 4.24%.
