Outsized moves came from First Quantum Minerals<\/a> which soared 12.49%, Lundin Minerals<\/a> up 9.65%, Teck Resources<\/a> 8.04%, Kinross Gold<\/a> 4.05% and Cameco<\/a> closing -5.81%. Also flirting with new highs was gold which edged up to $2,170 an ounce. <\/p>\n\n\n\n In New York, the Dow was flat, adding 37 points to top 39,000, but the Nasdaq sank 0.54% and the S&P shed 0.19%. Notable names included Freeport-McMoRan<\/a> which jumped 7.56%, 3M<\/a> up 5.42%, Valero<\/a> 5.24% and Tesla<\/a> which closed -4.54%. Dollar Tree<\/a> announced store closures and the stock plunged 14.21%.
