On Wednesday, markets mostly recovered from Tuesday’s sharp sell-off. The S&P closed the session up 0.87% just shy of 5,000, the Nasdaq added 1.23%, and the Dow 0.32%. The U.S. 10-year yield held around 4.265% while Bitcoin<\/a> surged nearly 4% to over US$51,600. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Key movers included Uber<\/a> which delivered a beat and soared 14.38%. Tesla<\/a> rose 2.49%, AMD<\/a> 4.02%, Nvidia<\/a> 2.32% and MGM<\/a> -5.98% despite a beat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On Bay Street, the TSX rebounded 1.38% as every sector except energy rallied. Consumer staples and industrials were particularly strong. Notable names were Goeasy<\/a> up 8%, Enbridge<\/a> -2.65%, Royal Bank<\/a> 1.95%, Shopify<\/a> 4.22% and Lithium Americas<\/a> 7.8%. WTI slipped 1.6% to fall to $76.65 a barrel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
