There were no outsized names among the influential stocks, though Nvidia closed -1.93%, Alphabet -1.3%, Warner Bros. Discovery rose 1.78%, and Best Buy rallied 2.18% as shoppers flocked to its stores on this American shopping day,. For the week, the S&P advanced 1%, the Nasdaq 0.89% and the Dow 1.27%. The U.S. 10-year yield held around 4.472% and Bitcoin added 1.563% to nearly touch $38,000.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The TSX declined 16 points on Friday and fell 0.4% for the week. Sectors were mixed with financials showing the most strength while utilities, discretionary and tech led the laggards. Notable names were Manulife up 0.65%, First Quantum Minerals -2.56%, Brookfield Asset Management -1.68% and Silvercrest Metals up 4.84%. WTI fell another 2% to $75.50.
