The trading week began much like recent sessions with market searching for direction either way. The TSX shed only a few points to close 0.08% lower. Sectors were mixed as energy rallied, but financials and tech lagged.<\/p>\n
Notable movers were Royal Bank<\/a> at -1.35%, TC Energy<\/a> -1.6%, MTY Food Group<\/a> -3.03%, but Crescent Point Energy<\/a> surged 2.71% and Savaria<\/a> 2.13%. WTI crude added over 1% to nearly trade at $79 a barrel. CN reported a beat after hours and shares climbed.<\/p>\n The picture was just as mixed on Wall Street with the S&P closing Monday up 0.09%, the Nasdaq -0.29%, and the Dow 0.2%. Key movers included First Republic Bank<\/a>, popping 12.2% during the session, but falling after reporting after hours. Meanwhile, Albemarle<\/a> rallied 5.88%, Medtronic<\/a> 4.62%, Carrier Global<\/a> -7.28% and Keycorp<\/a> -3.97%.
