The U.S. 10-year yield held around 3.879% while Bitcoin<\/a> shed 0.5% to $16,500.<\/p>\n WTI rallied 1.77% to approach $80 and gave the TSX some lift. The Canadian index closed Friday -0.73% and -0.67% for the shortened week. Given the commodities boom, the TSX declined only 9% in 2022, faring better than the American indices. On Friday, Shaw Communications<\/a> surged 9.31% and Rogers<\/a> jumped 5.13% after the proposed merger cleared its latest legal hurdle.
