Notable movers included Tesla<\/a>, up 3.93%, Freeport-McMoran<\/a> by 5%, Applied Materials<\/a> adding 4.66% and Take-Two Interactive<\/a> rising 5.15%. Meanwhile, Goldman Sachs<\/a> slipped 3.16%, Morgan Stanley<\/a> slid 2.71% and American Airlines<\/a> dove 2.73%. New inflation figures came in at 7%. In cryptos, Bitcoin<\/a> regained 2.4% to trade near $44,000.<\/p>\n In Toronto, energy, financials and especially materials rallied as minerals, such as nickel, jumped in price. First Quantum<\/a> soared 9.6%, Lundin Mining<\/a> 9.44% and Hudbay Minerals<\/a> 6.02%. Meanwhile, Interfor<\/a> rose 6.68%, Crescent Point Energy<\/a> added 4.84%, Lightspeed<\/a> 2.2% and Cargojet<\/a> 4.34%. In contrast, cannabis gave back recent gains as Hexo<\/a> closed -4.65% and Aurora<\/a> -2.97%. Elsewhere, Saputo<\/a> finished -2.79% and Cogeco<\/a> -2.75%. WTI crude rose nearly 2% to trade above $82 a barrel while WCS almost topped $70.
