Then there was the U.S. 10-year yield which plunged over 5% to 1.52%. Even cryptos were hit as Bitcoin<\/a> shed 3% to hover above $61,000.<\/p>\n Despite the price of crude oil declining, the TSX climbed 0.36% to close at a record high of 21,342. Staples were up, but tech was down, weighed by Lightspeed<\/a> which tanked by 27.56% after reporting wider-than-expected losses and supply chain woes. Similarly, Manulife warned of weakness from its Asian operations, and the street responded by selling MFC<\/a> off by 3.84%. Earnings were friendlier to Spin Master<\/a> which soared 14.56%. Similarly Maple Leaf Foods<\/a> jumped 11.59%, Shopify<\/a> rallied 3.69% and Gildan Activewear<\/a> leapt 6.75%.
